Home again, home again, jiggety jig

Marks out of 10 for our holiday cottage: 10
Loads of washing done since we got back: 6
Postcards purchased but unsent: 3
Photos taken on holiday: 0

Yes, I took the camera and left the memory card in the card reader at home. Oops. I do wonder if this was subconscious sabotage on my part. I love looking back on photos that capture a certain time and place, but being the photographer bothers me. It is as if the camera forms a barrier between me and the activity in hand - I never feel as though I am truly participating when I am behind the lens. So I am sort of proud of our lack of pictures because we had a great time and really relaxed and enjoyed being in the moment.

But I do have a picture of our souvenir rocks. What? You don't bring rocks back as souvenirs? Weird.

Love your stones - their shapes and colours. I have stones collected from various beaches on various holidays scattered all over the place.

Glad you had a good break.

I find that when I take pictures I often forget the real-life scene, and tend to remember the picture. Weird, I know, but it makes me want to just forget the camera.

I'm glad you had fun and mostly, that you relaxed. That's what vacation is for, and goodness, no, you shouldn't blog on vacation!

Of course we bring home rocks. Doesn't everyone? What, they bring home light souveniers? Ha.

We always bring back rocks, and shells, and bits of wool etc etc.

Glad you had a great time, and looking forward to post holidaying blogging!

My mom does that, so I no longer see it as wierd. :)

Glad you had such a good time! Did you get my email with my email address? Just checking...

I regularly find stones in my pocket I picked up as a souvenir at some time or other and dropped in there, it's lovely to get a sudden reminder unexpectedly!

I do bring rocks back, of course I do. I keep wondering if I killed my first car with that actually.
Yours are lovely.
