We're enjoying the last couple of days school holiday over here, assisted by a newsletter I subscribe to - Kids Craft Weekly. Each week, via e-mail, you get a themed set of activity suggestions. This week was dinosaurs - very popular round here. So behold, the paper-plate-a-saurus. I'm told he's vegetarian, so we're quite safe.
Dinner tonight was a decidedly un-vegetarian affair. Steak sandwiches with aubergine and cumin relish, watercress and portabello mushrooms. Yummmm - perfect for a quick supper before Hubby heads off to play badminton.
See, I am trying hard with those resolutions.

He must be a sauropod. My 9 year old got dinosaur everything for Christmas and I am being fed a steady diet of dinosaur facts. All the sauropods were vegetarian. But not all veggie dinosaurs were sauropods. So now you know. If you like I could carry on with dinosaur facts for another 6,773,331,994 words. Argentinasaurus is the biggest dinosaur ever, all the meat-eaters lived in the Cretaceous period...
Snap! Dinosaur day here too. Adam and Noah went off to the Natural History Museum to check out the dinosaurs whilst I was at work. Expecting nightmares tonight.
The sandwiches sound deelish!
yum. i like a good steak sandwich..and is that garlic I see??? you are being good. I won't tell you about my delicious fig/prosciutto/goats cheese lunch today. NO NO I didn't make it. But wish I had that much passion for cooking something like it at home.
Now there's a thought.why don't we post an ingredient once a week and see what inspiring dishes people make from it?? Or has that been done?
We made those dinosaurs the other night. I love that newsletter!
