Someone's idea of a joke?

My washing machine has chosen today to give up the ghost.
I have many words to describe this, and all of them have 4 letters.
I know what Santa's bringing ME this year.

oh no! ours broke the day we got back from skiing in february. 4 damp, stinky suitcases festering until comet could deliver my new love. our laundry room is being 'done' and i get paranoid that the workmen will unplumb my machine!?!?
hope santa delivers early to you...does he work a 48hr delivery service? good luck.

I wish ours would! it is a great 'LITTLE' machine..i emphasise the word little! Had it since pre-kids, just the right size for 2. It is the one white good that refuses to die!

Oh, that's just mean. Why do things always break down at this time of year? As if we didn't have enough to contend with. If Santa does his job properly he'll bring you a superduper new machine with laundry pre-sort options, self-loading and king-size duvet capacity!

I agree that it completely blows to have such an essential appliance die but personally I'd be excited to get a new washing machine (or stove or refrigerator). I'm strange that way. I have a perfectly good front loading washing machine but I yearn for a fancy LGR model. Yes. I'm officially wierd.

my drier makes the scariest sounds till it warms up a bit... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it lasts at least till the shops are closed on the 24th... I hate 'useful' presents.

Saying that... I would have even more going 'to the river' to wash my clothes by hand, so a washing machine is rather essential.

I feel your pain, my dryer gave up the ghost this weekend.

Nightmare! And I thought it was bad that our tumble dryer packed in last week and now I can't keep up with the massive pile of bibs, vest, other baby clothes and our own washing. There simply isn't enough surfaces and things to hang everything on! But hey you have been good and I am sure Santa will bring you something lovely! x

OMG! Ours did too! Not like it's had it's share of many years of hard work, what with 3 kids who do nothing but change clothes all day, and a husband. lol!

Last year was THE FIRST time since we've been married (and that's like 14 years) that something big didn't break right exactly a week or two before Christmas. And it's always something that has to be replaced...like the dishwasher, refridgerator or freakin' washing machine...and I thought that was one tradition we had finally gotten rid of. Guess not.

Good luck with getting a new one!

Ah yes! Ours "gave it up" last year. Hubby accused me of overloading it. Told him it was a mercy killing :-) Hope Santa does a great job replacing it...
Hope you're all well. Z had such a great time making his paper chain. Thanks!!!

What a bummer! Sod Santa buying you a new washer, I hope HUBBY buys you a new one and that SANTA brings you something extra fabulous for the stress caused!...e.g. Tiffany Diamond.....?

Hey we can all dream for you.
I hope its all up from here for you.

Merry Christmas

Found you via Little Cotton Rabbits. I'm convinced tech items contain a chip, which senses when the item is most required by its owner, once the chip reaches a preset limit, the item in question ceases to function. They also have a habit of tripping eachother off, in 3 days my toaster, dishwasher and washing machine all broke.
