Dreaming of a White Christmas

I love snow, but we had none last year and just enough the previous year for one night of snowball fighting. I love the strange muffled silence when it falls and the way that the ugliest corner, where the bins go, suddenly becomes quite magical.
While I'm unlikely to get any round here any time soon, I can at least indulge myself with this magical snowflake generator. I'll wait here while you play.

Those were fun! That's the closest I'll get to snow this year, too.

I have a fantastic link to snowflake patterns from last christmas which I must find - we had them up in all the downstairs windows and it was so lovely.

Thanks for the link. That was fun! I'll have to let my 5 year old play with that tomorrow...good mouse practice.

Abingdon isn't the only place without snow.

Mind you, according to local weather watchers in the French Alps, apparently the skin of local-grown onions have been thick this year, which (apparently!) means it'll be a harsh winter. Know anyone who's growing onions in Oxfordshire that we could ask?
