Gone fishing...

It's too hot to blog.

Mark had sports day today (35 degrees, hardly any shade) and when we got home, we were so whacked I couldn't even be bothered to get out the paddling pool. I filled the bath with cool water and we had an indoor paddle instead.

This is ENGLAND - we don't do hot. Air-conditioning anyone?

Oh, and the boy wonder won his race, not that I was a competitive parent or anything, no, no...

Isn't the heat too much - it really is too hot for munchkins to even be outside - or is that just because mummy feels frazzled!?!

My son luckily had his sports day 3 weeks ago when the weather was not quite so abnormal but won no races.

I am debating if I can fill a paddling pool during a hose-pipe ban. I figure if you can fill a private swimming pool legitimately then a wee little paddling pool is OK?!

I'd have to do math to convert your 35 degrees, so I'll just assume that's bad. :)

It's bad here too. We're having a red alert day today, for the first time ever. (It means high heat, humidity and ozone. No outdoor activity, mowing, or gassing up the car until after 7pm.) Tomorrow and Thursday are going to be even worse. :(

My boys refusesed to go out too because of the heat.

And in terms of laziness I win the race... I couldn't even be asked to fill the tub... I put them under the shower!

I know what you mean! When it is very hot (for maybe 4 days each summer) in Seattle, we all freak out because it's so odd! I wonder what a sport day is? Is it a school event? Do you have school year-round there? We have about 3 months off for summer vacation!

Sorry. We live in our AC from April - November down here - as much as I don't like it. With global warming, you might as well invest in a window unit or something now!

oh by we are looking to have high temps this weekend and i am not looking forward to it. we are forecasted to have about 92 F tomorrow and 107 F on Sat. oh how i wish we had AC. i think we may take your idea of the tub and swim indoors on those days.
