When I say Molly Chicken's post about blanket dyeing I really wanted a go. Mainly because of the difficulty in finding wool felt in the UK. But I was thwarted in my plans by the inability to get my hands on a blanket at the charity shop.
But I have a secret weapon, my mother works in a charity shop and has friends with amazing lofts full of stuff waiting to be re-homed, so it was only a matter of time before she came up with the goods. And here they are (in a dodgy photo - sorry), complete with giant pan, just waiting to be turned into luscious felt. That's my work in progress for this Friday.
Actually, my blog and crafty endeavors have turned into a bit of a family affair. My father returned from his snooker club with a huge piece of green baize for me too. I predict much green crafting in the not too distant future.

Your jolly green giant is awaited!
I too have been searching for blankets to give it go. Nary a one to be find.
I need a useful Mother too by the looks of it!
glad it's not just me, ever since that post I've been looking in charity shops for blankets too. Your mum could start a business!
oooo an 'insider'. i've always dreamed of having an insider. nice work. does your mum take orders ;)
Oh it's good to have connections, especially ones with links to crafting supplies. Good luck on the project.
Look forward to seeing the results. I would be too cared to dye anything, because I would be certain to irrevocably stain something precious without doubt.
I can't wait to see the results! I love dyeing things, and I'm thinking some wool felt would be so useful. Thanks for your comment on my blog!
I'm looking forward to seeing your results!
Awesome big green bucket, by the way.
