Off on an adventure

I'm not really here, I'm here - off on a little adventure and hopefully returning home with one of these.

Only one that's been made by moi. I've never done any woodwork before, but I'm always up for a challenge!

Love the birdbox and the courses look fantastic and the location fantastic. I have a toybox at home my mum "made" for me at nightclass when I was small - I think the truth of it is that the man taking the class did most of the work - but it's the thought that counts and I treasure it all the same!!

Thanks for the link to the courses - I know Lindfield well so might well take a look - the button course looks fab! I have a tin of old buttons that my husband's aunt of 104 gave to me and I am wondering what to do with...and the aunt? well still going strong, failing a bit physically but still with it in so many ways..I admire her so much!

Looks like a wonderful place - hope you're having a great time with your fretsaw, sandpaper and woodglue. The birds are certainly going to love you when you come home with such a wonderful bird hotel.

Hi Ali

What a great day out and such a stunning location. I hope that you had a wonderful day and look forward to seeing your birdbox.

Congratulations on your thinking blogger award. I found you through Julie's blog and I can see why she chose you.

Thanks for that link Ali. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing about how you got on. Thanks too for the sweet potato recipe - we love them in our house and I used to eat them as a child too. Many years ago I had a lovely Japanese recipe for fairy cakes with sweet potato in them - but I lost it!

I love going on courses to make stuff. Well apart from when I made my pottery elephant that truned out to look nothing like I'd hoped. However the tutor sold me her demonstration peice, so I came home happy !!!
