Fishy fun

I had no idea that it was subliminal sardine appreciation week. In a strange twist of blogging serendipity, Meg was dreaming of sardine inspired mobiles and Alix was taking photos of her tin too. Thanks for playing the game - lots of pilchard-worthy pantries nominated, but I have to admit it was Jane from Yarnstorm who I had imagined, and so with the help of my random correct answer selection crew...

The winner is Elizabeth! Send me your postal details and a little something will wing its way to you.

An excursion to the scrapstore yesterday which yielded some pretty marbled paper, for which I had the perfect project. Armed with a copy of  How to Make Books (a Christmas pressie), I tried an accordion book. It's slightly less than perfect, but I know what I'd do differently the next time. I sized it for Moo cards, because I seem to be getting quite a collection these days.Accordion_book

I can see how easy it would be for bookmaking to become an addiction. But I would need a better guillotine, because my little paper trimmer just isn't really up to scratch. So instead, I'm drooling over some new-ish-to-me blogs with bookmaking elements:

Mrs Eliot Books
Little Paper Bird
Paperiaarre

Now I am off to make the most of some Sunday afternoon sunshine. Enjoy the rest of the weekend won't you?
