Eat your greens

I am a weak-willed woman with no self control. I need more cookie cutters like a hole in my head, but can I stop myself? No.

Mind you, it doesn't help when they are selling them in my bookshop!

It's part of a promotion for the Children's Food Festival, which is happening in Oxfordshire next weekend.

Food tasting, celebrity chefs (Raymond Blanc, Sophie Grigson, Annabel Karmel..), live water buffalo (??!). It's going to be a great event, and would you believe, we're going to miss it?

But jetting off to Bordeaux ought to be some compensation. Oh yes, it's holiday time.

Those cookie cutters are just darned adorable. You could make an entire garden of yummy treats. They give new meaning to, "Eat your veggies." Thanks for sharing.

pshaw. self control is so over-rated.

I can't blame you for giving in to those cookie cutters. A curse on Nigella and all her minions say I - I used to be happy with just crinkly circles, but nooooo, now I need more! Flowers! Numbers! Animals with ridiculously fiddly legs that never come out whole (and anyway would burn before the rest of the biscuit cooked). Oh well.

The festival sounds like great fun, wish they'd hold one near here. Though I'm sure Annabel Karmel would not approve of the ice cream and sprinkle fuelled feeding frenzy we've just had.

Have a lovely holiday!

The cookie cutters are great! I think healthy vegetable shaped "biscuits" is something every child should eat!!

Hope you have a great holiday!

A trip to France? Veggie cookie cutters? Sigh. Sometimes being at the botton of the world is a drag. Just as well the scenery makes up for it.

I thought you were going to be stuck at home for the hols. Do you know just how torturous it is listening to someone say they are just hopping over to the continent for a holiday when it takes us mere Aussies 24 hours in a plane to get there!!!! Ejoy, drink good wine, eat yummy cheese and summer fruit....sniff sniff.

Think about us poor things stuck under canvas, pretending we don't mind the rain whilst you're sipping wine in France!

The cookies cutters are great, at last a way to get the kids to eat veg, even if it is biscuit flavoured!

Enjoy your hols
