Beach huts

For Blair, who has a thing for English beach huts.

This is a painting by Amanda Fisk, an artist based in Whitstable. She used to be a set designer which explains why this is so huge - that's a King sized bed.

Ahhh! I love it, thank you. That painting looks almost as huge as their actual size!

Loverly! And who doesn't have a thing for English beach huts? Not so much English beaches...

Reading Blair's blog reminds me of the American "beach huts" I came across in foreign parts. US Diplomatic Staff used their shipping containers which were parked near out-of-town beaches. Windows and doors were cut out and they were expected to last just for the length of their tours.

Gorgeous picture. I'm a beach hut fan too and would love to have one day.

what a wonderful picture to have above your bed - perfect for drifting off to sleep imagining you can hear the waves gently lapping at the shore... very peaceful.

thats beautiful... I can just hear the waves now. Amazing how it didn't look that big, until you said that it was a king size bed!

stunning!

I have a think for huge paintings. Or very tiny ones.

I guess the middle bit is boring.
