Q is for... Qwerty

Given the amount of time I spend on the computer, it's an absolute disgrace that I don't touch type. I did do a course when I was about 15 - but I only made it up to about 30 wpm touch typing and I can go faster than that looking at my fingers. I do use plenty of them, just in a haphazard kind of way. So I reverted to my own idiosyncratic ways.

But those crazy letter recognition things get me all the time. I hate the patronising way they tell you to enter the letters exactly as you see them, right after you've cocked it up once.
And hooray for me - I came up with a Q!!!! Only 9 letters left...

I was so excited to see your pictures of Featherdown Farm. We're going to the one in Cornwall in October (obviously the fire will be going all day!)and I can't wait! We're used to 'normal' camping so this 'glamping' lark will be sheer luxury!

Enjoyed your childhood pics, slightly more glamorous than mine. Holidays in Stranraer don't really compare to the Cayman Islands and Fiji!

I love those typewriter images.

Aren't the flickr mosaics fun?

Good going. I'm really enjoying the encyclopedia so far and the pictures and stories of Feather Down Farm were fantastic. I might even consider it myself.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for z.

Brilliant Q Ali!

I can't touch type either, which is a bit of a joke since I am supposed to be a computer programmer. Ah well.

I love the photos! The typewriter - so old fashioned these days but so beautiful! Not that I don't love my Macbook!! I think I do the same sort of typing as you - probably 6 fingers and I don't need to look at the keyboard but I do need to look at the screen!!

I sort of touch type in that i dont look at the keyboard and my fingers are sort of inthe right place but i make a LOT of spelling mistakes which is dont always correct. Inspired choice for Q
