Our favourite chums are visiting Space and playing musical instruments this month. To get your pink milk loving mitts on a giveaway copy of this kids craft magazine, leave me a comment and tell me what you're doing to preserve your sanity while the munchkins are on holiday.
This pre-supposes you have munchkins, because if you don't, shame on you for trying to get your paws on a kids comic!
And blogger is not e-mailing me your comments - so if I haven't replied to yours, don't think I'm ignoring you. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I want that mag because I have run out of inspiration to keep the bickering at bay. My beanies are only 3 years and 20 months so no school hols looming but more of the same. Tomorrow we are going to make a big sparkly star at the eldest's request and after that I have no idea. I'm not sure I was sane in the first place, to be honest.
The magazine would be the perfect thing to entertain my 3 year old during a few upcoming car trips. We've been doing lots of art & crafts, mainly involving pirates. I don't know that I've kept my sanity LOL!
i was gonna comment today. even without a give away. i swear.
let's see... keeping sanity, keeping sanity, keeping sanity... who said i had any sanity?
I've been having that problem, too, but I'm on Wordpress.
Don't put me in your draw, Ali, because my kids are at Uni and High School ;)
Oooh, and my practice for School Holidays has always been to make Home SOOOOOO boring that they are desperate to go back to school as soon as possible.
I wish it were simply school holidays, so I'd have something to look forward to (i.e. him going back to school), but since munchkin is only 2, I have no sanity at the moment. Naps, naps, naps. That's the ticket.
my oldest is 10. my youngest in 4. i'm pretty suer i have no sanity remaining.
love your blog. didn't even know about a giveaway!
I think i lost it, or at least misplaced ot somewhere, it could be in the washing basket or the ironing basket- they are both overflowing. Maybe it is in the pile of ash that my 2yo just helped 'clean' from the fireplace onto the carpet.... i'm not sure... help/sanity wanted!!
My children are 15, 13 and 11 so there´s a lot we can do together like go on bike rides through the valley, city adventures and swimming in the lakes but one day a week I take a time out for myself. I organise for the kids to visit their friends for the day so I can catch up with friends over lunch, visit the library or book stores or just hang around at home.
brain is too mushy from looking after children all day that i really feel by the end of the holidays i will need the charlie and lola magazine as it will be the only piece of literature i am capable of reading and understanding (apart from wine labels that is)
My children are all grown but still don't feel I have my sanity. It's lovely to see that children can still be entertained by drawing and painting and not just the TV (although lets face it, it can be a godsend when you're having a bad day!) Mine used to love card games and I can remember my Dad teaching me to play draughts! Your little ones might be a bit small for that just now. It is a shame that entertainment such as going to the cinema or even taking the children swimming is so expensive these days, I wonder how families can manage to all go together when you see the cost of it! Hope the holidays are not too terrible!
Jane
We need that mag for the week we'll be spending under canvas in the blistering heat of Wales - by the law of averages it IS going to be hot all through the summer hols!
I've always found hiding in the basement rooms of our house with a pillow over my ears keeps me sane!!
Happy holidays!
Julia x
i have no problem taking sweets and toys and food from children, so why not try for a magazine?!
(n.b. just kidding-but don't enter me for the mag)
ps. where do you live that your kids are on holiday now? I'M at school for 2 more weeks :(
We've been doing lots of arts and crafts around here, with a few trips to the library to keep it all interesting. He's been out of school for almost two months now, though, so I hope to become reacquainted with sanity very soon...
ali - your bag's on flickr's explore page here: http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
what no glitter? I thought the BBC was under the impression that it was illegal to bring out a kid's magazine without there being any glitter on the front.
Na, I don't want the comic, it would be wasted around here. Maybe 5 years ago heh! We've been baking and sewing and sculpting. I've had a lovely week off work, but now it's time to go back and leave the pests...err sons to their father! ha...that's one way to keep the sanity.
Oh, we'd love that mag! I was hoping Mum would send one over, but she hasn't found it yet. Which shop did you buy it at?
As for sanity, I'm with the rest of 'em....not much sanity to begin with! We've been going to the movies, library, shopping and plenty of arts and crafts.
Lots and lots of popsicles and Play Dough.
i'm eating jaffas, telling our dog to sit, sit siiiiittt! having wine o'clock one hour earlier than I usually do, building a mammoth monkey climbing frame in the backyard only to have my son tell me 'wow mum, it's great, now you don't have to be our climbing frame anymore.'
